JD Harris, chairman and CEO at Ascent Solutions, the partner to solve the most challenging cybersecurity problems, has been accepted into the Forbes Business Council, the foremost growth and networking organization for successful business owners and leaders worldwide. Harris serves as the company’s chief strategist and visionary, ensuring that the culture adheres to its core values. He also works with outside parties, banks, partners and customers on a frequent basis, and remains tightly synchronized with his leadership team in pursuit of their shared mission to keep the world safe from cybercrime.

Harris was vetted and selected by a review committee based on the depth and diversity of his experience. Criteria for acceptance include a track record of successfully impacting business growth metrics as well as personal and professional achievements and honors. Under his leadership, Ascent was recently recognized as Microsoft Entra’s Top Regional Systems Integrator Worldwide.

“We are honored to welcome JD Harris into the community,” said Scott Gerber, founder of Forbes Councils, the collective that includes Forbes Business Council. “Our mission with Forbes Councils is to bring together proven leaders from every industry, creating a curated, social capital-driven network that helps every member grow professionally and make an even greater impact on the business world.”

As an accepted member of the Council, Harris has access to a variety of exclusive opportunities designed to help him reach peak professional influence. He will connect and collaborate with other respected local leaders in a private forum and at members-only events. Harris will also be invited to work with a professional editorial team to share his expert insights in original business articles on Forbes.com and to contribute to published Q&A panels alongside other experts.

“I believe Ascent’s expertise and cybersecurity thought leadership should shape industry-wide conversation,” said Harris. “Sharing knowledge with Forbes’ network of high-caliber business leaders and readers enables me to raise awareness for issues critical to their safety and success. I don’t take Ascent’s mission statement—saving the world from cybercrime—lightly. Mitigating cyber threats requires an unprecedented scale of collaboration. My door is open to connecting with leaders at U.S. companies and members of our government who share the same goal.”
